Decoded

Decoded is a design and development exploration platform built for listeners who listen — fans who want to engage more deeply with the meaning behind their favourite music. The project reimagines hip hop lyrics as editorial content rather than database text, focusing on reading experience, typography, and visual hierarchy. The design explores how users move through lyrics in the same way they move through music.

Driven by my Masters research and passion for music culture, Decoded explores how web design can support cultural understanding by improving how lyrics are presented, structured, and consumed.

The goal of Decoded was to create a more meaningful and engaging way to experience lyricism through digital design.
