Recursive records
Designing and developing a first online presence for an independent record store.
Recursive Records is a small, independent brick-and-mortar record store. This project was developed as part of my Master's degree, with the aim of creating their first website and establishing an initial digital presence. The focus was on translating the in-store experience into a simple, accessible online format — allowing customers to explore the store, its identity, and what they have to offer.
The design approach focused on clarity and accessibility, prioritising straightforward navigation and a clean layout. Particular attention was given to typography and content structure, ensuring information could be easily scanned while still reflecting the character of the store. The build was kept intentionally lightweight, allowing for a fast and responsive experience across devices.
The result is a simple, functional website that establishes a foundation for the store's online presence.
